According to reports Wigan Athletic are looking to bring Chelsea FC striker Franco Di Santo to the DW Stadium on a permanent deal.
It is understood the two clubs have opened talks over a £2 million move.
Wigan boss Roberto Martinez is keen to add more firepower to his forward line while Chelsea are looking to bring some cash in for a player who is unlikely to feature in the first team this season.
For di Santo the move will mean more chance of first-team action.
Although the Argentine failed to make much of an impression on loan at Blackburn Rovers last season he is still young and Martinez appears ready to take a punt on the 21-year-old frontman with a view to unlocking his potential.
