According to reports Wigan Athletic are looking to sign Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi on a permanent contract.

The Mirror claims Latics boss Roberto Martinez is making a £1.5 million bid to turn keeper Al Habsi’s loan move into a full-time deal.

Martinez took the Oman international on a season-long loan but now wants buy him outright in a move that would allow him two more Premier League player loans.

If Bolton agree to sell Al Habsi and Martinez meets the £2.5 million asking price, then the Spaniard could pursue a loan deal for Chelsea striker Franco Di Santo.
