It is reported that German goalkeeper Timo Hildebrand is keen on a move to the Premier League.
Hildebrand is available as a free agent after parting company with Hoffenheim at the end of last season.
Celtic were reported to have shown interest at one stage, but Hoops boss Neil Lennon has distanced himself from such talk.
Reports now suggest that the Latics and Fulham are keen on the Germany international.
Hildebrand's representative admits the 31-year-old shot-stopper would be willing to discuss such a switch and is hopeful a deal can be struck.
"He is very keen to challenge himself in the English game," said Martin Stopper. "Hildebrand feels the time is right to play in the Premier League."
