Liverpool FC boss Roy Hodgson is ready to offer £5 million for Wigan Athletic full-back Maynor Figueroa.
The Sunday Mirror claims Hodgson is preparing the raid knowing he will spark fierce competition.
Figueora appeared in all three of Honduras’ games at the World Cup and Latics boss Roberto Martinez faces a fight to keep him.
Stoke City are also interested in the 27-year-old left-back.
