Stoke City are reportedly planning a bold move for Wigan Athletic striker Hugo Rodallega.

The Sun claims Potters boss Tony Pulis is considering a £7 million bid for the striker and is prerared to throw in James Beattie as part of the deal.

Pulis is an admirer of the Colombian and is expected to step up his interest in an attempt to bolster his strikeforce.

The proposed offer is seen as evidence that Pulis is determined to land the 24-year-old.
