It is reported that Sunderland AFC are interested in Wigan Athletic centre-back Titus Bramble.

The Daily Mail claims the Black Cats are considering a £5 million move.

The Wearsiders’ boss Steve Bruce is well-known to Bramble, resurrecting the 28-year-old’s career after signing him from Newcastle United in 2007 when manager of the Latics.

Many questioned Bruce’s judgement at the time as Bramble had garnered a reputation for being error-prone.

However, the centre-half went on to win the club's Player of the Year award.

I wish people writing these stories would get their facts straight, Steve Bruce did not sign Titus Bramble for Wigan, Chris Hutchings did.
