Wigan Athletic and West Ham have reportedly been left to fight it out to sign Jermaine Pennant.

The Daily Mail claims Wolves have turned down the chance to sign the Real Zaragoza winger.

The paper reports that Pennant has been offered to the Latics, West Ham and Wolves but the latter declined to pursue the winger.

Pennant’s partner Lara is pregnant and they are keen to move back to England just a year after he joined Real Zaragoza.

However, Zaragoza may well have to drop their £2 million asking price if they are to offload him.
