According to reports Wigan Athletic look set to lose out to Liverpool FC for Cardiff City midfielder Joe Ledley.
The Daily Mail claims new Reds boss Roy Hodgson is hoping to land Ledley who is also a target for West Bromwich Albion and Stoke City.
Ledley was also in Glasgow over the weekend for a meeting with Celtic boss Neil Lennon.
However, it is understood he is reluctant to move far from his Welsh home which gives Liverpool the edge.
