According to reports Sheffield United marksman Billy Sharp will not be joining Burnley FC.

The Sheffield Star claims Blades striker Billy Sharp is staying at United after rejecting an offer from Clarets.

It seems he discussed the opportunity with his agent over the weekend and decided to stay put, preferring to have one final attempt at resurrecting his career at Bramall Lane.

It is believed the Clarets bid around £1 million for Sharp with the deal widely expected to go through given his links with Clarets boss Brian Laws who managed him while at Scunthorpe United.
