Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez’s efforts to land Real Madrid keeper Antonio Adan look to be floundering.
The Latics boss was looking to take the young Madrid stopper on a year-long loan deal.
However, it seems Real are looking to release Adan on a permanent move.
Real are demanding £3.5 million for his services but this may well be more than Martinez is prepared to spend.
Meanwhile, the Spaniard is still hoping to secure a deal for 24-year-old Honduras international Emiliano Izaguirre.
