Wigan Athletic are reportedly targeting midfielder Emilio Izaguirre.
Izaguirre is currently with the Honduran national team at the World Cup.
After successfully landing Wilson Palacios and Hendry Thomas, it is understood the Latics are now training their attention on the left-sided midfielder.
The club’s interest in the 24-year-old, who played in yesterday’s 1-0 defeat to Chile, came to light when representatives were apparently spotted at the training ground of the player’s club, Montagua.
Izaguirre had a trial for Ipswich in 2008 only for red tape to scupper the deal.
