Wigan Athletic’s shock win against Liverpool is the confidence boost they need according to midfielder Paul Scharner.
He believes last night’s 1-0 home win over the Reds could be the start of a good run.
Roberto Martinez’s men ended a seven-game winless streak to go four points clear of the relegation zone.
Scharner said: “It's a very important three points, it's magnificent to win against Liverpool after a bad run.
"It's massive, I think the confidence will increase now.
"I'm very happy with what my colleagues showed on the pitch today. Hopefully we can stay together."
