Cruz Azul star Cristian Riveros has claimed he has an offer from Wigan Athletic for a summer move.
It is reported that he has also received a similar proposal from Sunderland.
Riveros, 27, will leave Cruz Azul after rejecting a new contract with the Mexican side.
The midfielder's agent is heading to Europe to negotiate with interested teams in a bid to resolve his future before the World Cup finals get underway.
His representative Jose Maria Gonzalez commented: "We already have proposals from clubs like Sunderland and Wigan."
