Sheffield United are reportedly being linked with Hull City midfielder Kevin Kilbane.
The Mirror claims Republic of Ireland veteran and all-round utility player Kilbane can leave as the Tigers are trying to slash their wage bill.
It is understood that the Blades will be given permission to speak to him.
Kilbane joined from Wigan a year ago but is available as Hull look to bring in new faces - and Kevin Blackwell thinks his experience would be invaluable for United.
