Hull City have signed ex-Wigan Athletic pariah Amr Zaki until the end of the season.

The Egyptian international spent last season with Wigan Athletic until an acrimonious parting after falling out with former boss Steve Bruce.

The striker could play some part in Hull's home clash against Wolves on 30 January pending international clearance.

On his website Zaki revealed he is delighted about the move.

He said: “I'm happy to be back in the Premier League through Hull City.

“Tigers are good side and I'm looking forward to do my best for the team.

“I want to thank both Phil Brown and (chairman) Adam Pearson for the faith they showed in me and my target is to repay this faith on the field by helping my team-mates to do the best for the club and for the fans.

“I'll travel back to Cairo on Tuesday to finish some stuff then back to join my team on Thursday.”
