Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez was delighted with the way his side performed at Molinuex.

Goals from James McCarthy and Charles N'Zogbia secured the points and the Latics first league win in six games that lifted them to 13th place.

Martinez told Sky Sports: "We knew that we had to be well organised, disciplined and match the physicality that Wolves were going to throw at us.

"They got a great momentum at home, especially in the first 20 minutes and I was extremely pleased with the way we coped with that.

"We created chances, we hit the post and missed the penalty so overall a very complete performance away from home."
