It is reported that Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez is ready to offer a deal to ex-Manchester City defender Michael Ball.
Ball has been a free agent after being released from City in the summer.
Ball has since been training with Roberto Martinez's first team squad this season
The Daily Star claims the former Rangers and PSV Eindhoven defender has done enough to earn a contract at the DW Stadium.
