It is reported that Wigan Athletic keeper Chris Kirkland is in the sights of Sunderland boss Steve Bruce.
Despite his ongoing injury problems, the Daily Mail claims the Black Cats boss is keen on bringing the experienced England international to the Stadium of Light.
Bruce is also believed to be considering a move for Kirkland's teammate Maynor Figueroa
However, it seems he is baulking at the Latics £7 million asking price.
