Stoke City chasing Wigan Athletic striker Hugo Rodallega

It is reported that Stoke City have joined the hunt to sign Wigan Athletic striker Hugo Rodallega.

The Daily Mirror claims Stoke boss Tony Pulis is ready to battle with Birmingham in what is reported to be a £10 million fight to land the Colombian.

Pulis has targeted at least two strikers this month to solve a goal shortage and wants Rodallega to fire the Potters to safety.

Sunderland striker Kenwyne Jones was their No 1 target but the whole package - which includes a whopping £60,000 a week salary - has been deemed too expensive.

And now Stoke are ready to offer Rodallega a move to the Britannia Stadium after receiving encouragement that Wigan boss Roberto Martinez will sell to bring in his own players.
