It is reported that Latics boss Roberto Martinez is again eyeing Celtic striker Scott McDonald.
The Latics launched an audacious last-minute bid to land the Australian before the summer transfer window closed but this came to nought.
The Evening Times claim Wigan are prepared to offer £4million for the 26-year-old who cost Celtic just £600,000 when they signed him from Motherwell two years ago.
It is understood that Martinez initially wants to take McDonald on loan until the summer before paying in full.
