Wigan’s Boyce hopes the goals keep flowing

Having only scored one goal in his entire Latics career before last month, Emmerson Boyce has managed to notch up two so far this season leaving him second in the club’s scoring chart behind Hugo Rodallega.

Speaking to the Wigan Evening Post he said: "It feels good, and I'm delighted to have got another goal, although we should have picked up the three points as well.

"People have been telling me for the last couple of seasons that I needed to get into the box more and chip in with the odd goal, and it's going for me at the moment.

"I've had a few chances this season, and luckily enough I've put a couple of them away.
"You just have to gamble and take a chance sometimes.

"On Sunday, I thought the ball might come back into the box, so I stayed there, and Paul Scharner managed to get a great head on it.

"I had a similar chance against Chelsea, when I blasted it and it hit the keeper, so this time I tried to place it."
