Latics keeper Chris Kirkland feels his side did enough to earn all three points against Fulham at the weekend although they eventually had to settle for just the one.
Emmerson Boyce gave Wigan the lead in the first half but were pegged back through a Clint Dempsey penalty.
Kirkland has no issue with the spot-kick award, but believes Fulham should not have been awarded a free-kick in the lead up to it.
He said: "There were no complaints about their penalty.
"I'm never too sure when players are flying around the penalty area, but most of the lads in the dressing room said that it was a fair call.
"I wasn't too sure it should have been a free-kick in the build-up to the penalty, though, but these things happen and we hope it goes our way soon.
"It's never easy conceding just before half-time – you come in and you're heads are a little bit down.
"But we did really well in the second half, dominated the game, and had the majority of possession.
"We were pleased to still come away with something – just a bit disappointed not to get all three points."
