Latics midfielder Fabrice Muamba has been speaking ahead of his side’s two clashes with Chelsea in a matter of days.
He has been singled out for particular praise for his recent performances but he feels he has some way to go to emulate Blues midfielders Michael Essien and Jon Obi Mikel.
However, he is confident he can give them both a run for their money tomorrow night in the Carling Cup and at the Reebok on Saturday.
Speaking to Bolton News, Muamba said “I just try as best as I possibly can.
“I’m still a young man learning my trade and those guys, the Michael Essiens and John Obi-Mikels, have been playing at the highest level possible, and in the Champions League.
“I’m enjoying myself here. I want to get as much experience as I possibly can and then see where things go from there.
“No matter what, we’ll go to Chelsea and give 100 per cent, and hopefully we’ll get a result.
“They are obviously two very tough games, we have to go into each believing we can get a win, which would be great.”
