According to reports Wigan Athletic are close to landing Bristol City striker Nicky Maynard.
The Mirror claims the Latics have agreed a £2.2 million deal for the contract rebel.
It is understood that boss Roberto Martinez is now in talks with the forward to thrash out personal terms.
The Championship club is keen to take the money now given Maynard is out of contract in the summer and wants a move to the Premier League.
