Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas believes Wigan Athletic have improved since the start of the season.
The Portuguese was speaking after their 1-1 draw at the DW Stadium, a game in which they led until the 88th minute.
Daniel Sturridge notched his ninth goal of the season, a strike that seemed to have given Chelsea all three points.
However, the Latics fought back and levelled Jordi Gomez’s late strike.
AVB said: "We have to wait for tomorrow's clashes to see where we stand. We might drop points again to the leaders but I think it was a fair result.
"This Wigan is a different Wigan. They've picked up momentum from a recent run of good results.
“The crowd was behind them and they fought hard to get the point."
