Wigan Athletic players were pleased with their 1-1 draw against Chelsea at the DW Stadium.
Jordi Gomez, who scored the Latics’ last-gasp equaliser, reckons they deserved a share of the spoils.
"I am scoring goals," Gomez told ESPN.
"After their goal I think our reaction was very good and in the end we got that goal and we deserved the draw."
Captain Gary Caldwell claimed the Latics’ never-say-die spirit was crucial.
"We believe in the group of players that we've got and we showed great desire," he said.
"Everyone's pulling in the same direction. When you go on a run of defeats you need to stick together and we've done that.
"Chelsea are a great side and play some great stuff, but we stuck at it and deserved a point in end."
