Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez is hoping striker Hugo Rodallega will stay at the DW Stadium.
Rodallega is currently struggling to find any form, but Martinez knows he has the quality to fire the Latics to safety.
He is keen to persuade the 26-year-old to remain with him, despite alleged interest from Liverpool.
"I wouldn't like to lose Hugo," said Martinez.
"The reality is he had a little bit of a stop start season and niggles.
"It is important everyone is fully focused to win games for Wigan and I would love to keep Hugo for the longer-term."
