Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez is delighted with the form of goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi.
The Latics boss singled out the Oman stopper who joined the club from Bolton Wanderers in the summer after helping the Spaniard’s side avoid relegation last season.
Martinez believes the signing of Al-Habsi’s was significant.
Speaking about the stopper Martinez told Absolute Radio: "Yeah, Ali is getting better and better and better.
“It was big news for ourselves when we managed to sign him permanently.
“I think his season last campaign was of a great level, but just the way he integrated into the football club, the way he connected with the fans, it shows you the stature of the human being behind the goalkeeper.
“We’ve been delighted with his form and delighted that he’s our player for many years to come."
