Wigan Athletic are reportedly interested in Hercules striker Urko Vera.

It is understood that Latics boss Roberto Martinez is eyeing his fellow countryman.

Martinez is understood to have had scouts posted to watch Vera in this season's Segunda Division.

The 24-year-old joined Hercules in the summer on a free transfer from La Liga outfit Athletic Bilbao.
