Ipswich Town have made a bid for Preston North End defender Sean St Ledger.
A number of clubs are being linked with the Irish international, who looks set to leave Deepdale following North End's relegation to League One.
Now Ipswich have made their move and lodged an offer for the 26-year-old.
Preston are now thought to be considering the bid, although there is also believed to be other Championship clubs looking to make a move.
St Ledger previously left Preston in 2009 when he joined Middlesbrough on a loan deal, but he returned to the club without the deal becoming permanent.
