Preston North End manager Phil Brown has admitted that former Manchester United striker Febian Brandy has been training with the Lilywhites.
Brandy is without a club after being released by Manchester United and is currently recovering from injury.
The striker has been undergoing his recovery with Mick Rathbone who brought the player to the attention of Brown.
Phil Brown admitted that he is looking to hold talks with Brandy's agent:
"Baz Rathbone had set one or two players on a one-on-one basis at a private clinic that he runs. Bazil brought it to my attention that Febian had been training with him on a three or four week basis.
"He had been to Leicester on a trial period, but Leicester had five, six or seven strikers to choose from. Obviously there was no room for him there.
"Depending on Iain Hume tomorrow, we may have three, four or five strikers available, and I don't think that you can have too many strikers available in your camp.
"Again, he is a lot smaller than Eddie and a lot smaller than the other strikers, but he is very quick. That is another thing that he brings to the table, we'll see anyway. I need to speak to his agent and we will see where that takes us."
Although Brandy failed to make a first team appearence at Manchester United, the 21 year old could be a useful addition to Phil Brown's struggling squad.
