Ritchie De Laet has extended his loan with Preston North End until Tuesday 4th January.

The on loan Manchester United left back, has already made four starts for the Lilywhites and the Belgian youngster will now be eligible to play for Darren Ferguson's men over the busy Christmas period.

De Laet’s is available for Saturday's trip to Watford and will remain with the Lilywhites for the games against Scunthorpe United, Middlesbrough, Derby County and Crystal Palace.

Saturday’s winning goal scorer Iain Hume is also hoping to extend his stay at Deepdale:

"Last season I wasn't 100 per cent fit and I wasn't playing to the best of my ability," said Hume.

"I have come to Preston, played every week and got my energy and confidence back.

"The clubs are close to an agreement and I am just waiting for January to come along and everything can be sorted."
