According to reports Preston North End winger Ross Wallace is a target for Burnley FC.

Skysports.com claims the Clarets have turned to Wallace after having failed to prise Andrew Driver from Hearts.

Turf Moor boss Brian Laws has money to spend following Steven Fletcher's move to Wolves and he is ready to make a bid for Wallace.

The former Celtic and Sunderland man has impressed at Deepdale since arriving initially on loan in 2008 before signing on a permanent basis a year later.

Preston boss Darren Ferguson is reluctant to lose the 25-year-old, but could cash-in on the player to raise funds for his own transfer plans.
