Preston North End remains mired in legal wrangling despite having a winding-up order dismissed.
The club is now facing further legal action from HMRC.
Preston North End were handed the order last month leading to a suspension of the company's shares.
Although that action is now ended, HMRC are now looking into a failed PAYE payment from May, meaning the shares remain suspended.
New chairman Maurice Lindsay said: "It is good news that the winding-up petition has been dismissed and that season ticket sales appear to be picking up again after the announcement that the debt had been settled earlier in the week.
"We hope the fans of Preston North End will continue to support the club as I lead it into a new era."
