Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle chasing Burnley FC defender Clarke Carlisle

Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle is looking to take centre-back Clarke Carlisle from Burnley FC.

The Clarets were relegated from the Premier League following Sunday’s 4-0 defeat to Liverpool.

The club needs to sell its stars to balance the books in preparation for their return to the Championship.

Coyle is waiting in the wings to lure some of his former players to the Reebok including Carlisle who is out of contract in the summer.
