Preston North End manager Darren Ferguson admitted his side lacked the necessary motivation in their 1-0 home defeat to play-off chasing Leicester City.
While he was unhappy to lose the game, but he accepted that their season was already over given they had successfully secured their Championship status.
"It's disappointing to lose, but it's hard when there's not a lot to play for this season," he reflected.
"I thought we gave it a really good go, but it was a disappointing goal to concede.
"We knew it was going to be a tough game because they (Leicester) could make sure of their play-off place, but I thought we had a couple of decent chances.
"It's a shame we didn't stick any of them away.
"Hopefully we can get another win in our last game, it will be nice to finish the season with a good performance for our supporters."
