North End travel to relegation-threatened Plymouth Argyle on Saturday looking to build on their win against Cardiff City last time out.
North End have experienced mixed fortunes since Darren Ferguson took over in January, but his side moved to within seven points of sixth-placed Cardiff after a 3-0 victory over the Bluebirds and Ferguson will be hoping to take that form into the Home Park clash.
He will be boosted by the news that Richard Chaplow should make his return to the side.
Chaplow is likely to replace Paul Coutts, who was sent off in the previous match and will now serve a one-match ban for picking up two yellow cards.
Captain Callum Davidson could return after recovering from head and muscle injuries, alongside Matt James who has been carrying an Achilles knock.
Striker Danny Welbeck, who is on-loan from Manchester United, remains doubtful with a knee injury.
