Preston North End travel to Derby County hoping they can capitalise on The Rams’ FA Cup disappointment at the hands of Birmingham City.

Preston are still in with a shout of making the play-offs but need to start finding some form soon.

Preston will hand a debut to new signing Tom Williams in Tuesday night's clash at Pride Park.

Boss Darren Ferguson raided former club Peterborough to sign Williams on a month-long loan as cover for injured captain Callum Davidson and the left-back will go straight into the squad.

Ferguson has no fresh injury or suspension worries to deal with but defender Davidson, who has missed the last two games with concussion, will again sit out.

Midfielder duo Richard Chaplow (groin) and Paul Parry (knee) are still not ready to return while long-term absentee Barry Nicholson (broken leg) also remains sidelined.

Ferguson's men will be looking to get their bid for promotion back on track by extending their unbeaten league run to three games.
