Preston North End manager Darren Ferguson was left bemoaning a Danny Welbeck miss as his side fought out a goalless draw with Blackpool FC at Deepdale.
Ferguson felt his side had chances to take all three points and singled out the youngster’s profligacy.
"It was one of those games where you have to take your chances and in the end Danny Welbeck should score," he said.
"It's a massive chance, he went clean through and should have scored. He had one in the first half as well."
Ferguson added: "Derbies are always tense affairs and it can take a little bit of magic to win them or a mistake from opposition.
"The dressing room is very quiet because they're all disappointed, we wanted to win the game.
"To a man we worked our socks off and there are some very tired legs out there."
