U-turn as Preston North End defender Jamie McCombe will now not return to Huddersfield Town

Preston North End defender Jamie McCombe will now remain at Preston North End until 2nd January 2012 and will be available for the next three games over the fesive period.

Yesterday Huddersfield Town requested the recall of McCombe, but with no release clause in place, the 28-year-old will remain at Deepdale for his initially agreed loan period.

McCombe has struck up a strong partnership with Craig Morgan in the heart of the North End defence and has helped towards conceding only two goals in five games.
