
Preston North End have captured the signings of Huddersfield Town's Jamie McCombe and Barnsley's Nathan Doyle on emergency loan deals.
McCombe, a 6'5'' centre half has played in 12 games for the Terriers this season, whilst Doyle has played in all but three of the Tykes league games last campaign.
Doyle, 24, is naturally a central midfielder, but can also play on both the right side of midfield and the defence.
McCombe will wear the number 39 shirt and Doyle has been handed number 38 until both their loan deals expire on 2nd January 2012.
Both loanees are eligible to play in North End's next league game against Bury at Gigg Lane on Saturday.
