Preston North End assistant manager Brian Horton praised Southend United stopper Luke Daniels following the goalless FA Cup draw at Deepdale.
Daniels who is on loan from Premier League outfit West Brom made a string of excellent first half saves that denied North End passage into round two.
"Their keeper was man of the match, he's made four or five very good saves - he is a good keeper." said Horton.
But Horton was quick to point out North End had created a hat-full of first half opportunities and he was also pleased with the clean sheet.
"I thought we created a lot of chances.
"We dominated the first half, we were absolutely dominant.
"It's good to have a clean sheet, I thought the back four were much better, so that's a plus."
For Horton, the only negative point was the missed penalty.
"The penalty is disappointing, we took four great penalties the other night and Bas Nic is normally a good penalty taker.
"I'll never blame anybody for missing a penalty.
"But, we are two games unbeaten now." he joked.
