Preston North End have signed German goalkeeper Thorsten Stuckmann on a one month contract.
The 30-year-old will wear the number one shirt at Deepdale and is eligible to play in tommorow night's Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash against Rochdale.
The Gutersloh born star gives manager Phil Brown options between the sticks following injuries to Iain Turner and Dominic Comrie.
Stuckmann trialed with the Lilywhites during pre-season and will be remembered for saving a second half penalty against Morecambe at the Globe Arena.
However, the capture of Iain Turner two days later ended the club's initial interest, despite the 6'6'' giant impressing in his short trial period.
Stuckmann made 82 appearances for Alemannia Aachen and has been training with German giants Werder Bremen since the start of the season.
