Bodde is going nowhere say Swansea

Roberto Martinez’s efforts to take Ferrie Bodde to the DW Stadium look bleaker today as Swansea manager, Paolo Sousa, digs his heels in over the continual press speculation surrounding his highly-rated midfielder.

He’s sought to put an end to the gossip by insisting the player is happy at Swansea.

Bodde was strongly linked with a move to Bolton earlier in the summer before Wigan entered the chase for his signature more recently.

Swansea have rejected a number of offers for the Dutchman, who is currently recovering from knee surgery and could be back in action before the end of the month.

Sousa admits he has become infuriated by the transfer talk but he is confident Bodde will remain at the Liberty Stadium.

Asked for the latest on the player's future, Sousa told the Western Mail: "There is nothing more.

"It's a story that has been since I arrived and already I am tired of saying the same things.

"He is a player who has a contract with us, who feels part of us, who is very happy.

"When these kind of things happen it will of course cause confusion for him, but I hope the media doesn't destabilise the work that has been done over the last few weeks because we see him very happy and confident about coming back to help us achieve success."
