Burnley have confirmed that they are in talks with Independiente del Valle winger Fernando Guerrero over a permanent move to Turf Moor.
The 19-year-old has been on trial with the Clarets and impressed manager Owen Coyle greatly. The club have announced that the player has flown over for talks.
It is understood that the Premiership newcomers faxed over an offer in excess of £2 million to the president of Independiente but have yet to agree a sale price for the deal to go through.
Coyle is keen to have the former Real Madrid under-19 winger available for selection ahead of the opening day fixture away to Stoke City next weekend.
