With Joleon Lescott expected to sign for Manchester City in the next few days, Everton manager David Moyes is set to snap up Bolton's Gary Cahill as his replacement.
Since moving to the Reebok Stadium from Aston Villa 18 months ago, the Trotters' defender has earned himself a call-up to the England squad and is in line to succeed Lescott in the Blues' defence should the Goodison Park outfit agree to sell the centre-back.
Despite the reported interest, Wanderers still insist that Cahill is not for sale.
