Callum Davidson has won a place in the Scotland squad for next week's World Cup qualifier against Norway.

The defender earned the call-up after impressing national coach George Burley who watched the 33-year-old in action during Preston's 3-1 win at Hibernian on Saturday.

Lilywhites captain Davidson is one of five Lancashire-based players in the 23-man squad that will be in Oslo next Wednesday. He is joined by Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher and Burnley trio STeven Caldwell, Graham Alexander and Steven Fletcher.
