According to reports Sheffield Wednesday have turned down a bid from Burnley FC for goalkeeper Lee Grant.
BBC Sport has revealed that Wednesday confirmed a six-figure offer was faxed to them on Wednesday.
However, the club told the Clarets on Thursday morning that the bid fell some way short their valuation.
Burnley boss Brian Laws had lined up Newcastle United goalkeeper Fraser Forster on loan but this fell through due to injuries at St James' Park.
