According to reports Burnley FC have made a bid for Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Lee Grant.

Grant has also been linked with SPL giants Celtic but Sky Sports understands the Clarets have made their move.

Burnley boss Brian Laws has been searching for a new goalkeeper and has set his sights on Grant.

The Clarets had lined up a loan deal for Newcastle United keeper Fraser Forster, but the move was held up on the Magpies' side as boss Chris Hughton has ongoing keeper fitness worries.

Sky Sports understands that this failure has seen the Clarets turn to Grant and that they are hoping to tie up a deal for the 27-year-old.

Talks are believed to be ongoing as Laws seeks to link up again with a player he worked with when at the helm at Hillsborough.

This would be a grat signing for Brian Laws. Jensen is too inconsistant, and not good enough to ensure aot of clean sheets.
