Burnley FC defender Kevin Long is to spend a week training with Carlisle United.
Long is being allowed to leave Turf Moor on loan to build up his experience after not featuring for the first team since his January arrival from Cork City.
The 19-year-old will train with Greg Abbott's Carlisle outfit over the next few days and could feature in Friday's friendly against Darlington.
Abbott is looking to improve his defensive options and is also waiting for a decision on Sunderland defender Jean-Yves M'Voto.
